Zoomwooz. A live cinema performance.
A hive of desperate souls clamouring for a scrap of nothing, brains vacated of themselves, lost in other people’s time. Forgotten dreams, desires mislaid in the collective memory, embraces, caresses, shouts, a dog barking and the whisper of a kiss brushing against your insides.
We use ‘Live cinema’ techniques to speak about the place of the individual within an ever-changing systemic whole that we call society. About its memory, its dreams, its frustrations and the weaknesses that make the games of power possible.
«The spectator’s gaze is overwhelmed by the play of shots, spasmodic camera movements, backlit figures, sound effects… The gaze slips into a city of enormous buildings and enters streets where everything seems impersonal.» — Rubén Madrid, Manuscritos a máquina
