Sueños de color carmesí

When I grow up, I want to catch the moon with my fingers, I want to be an architect or an engineer, a lawyer, I want to be a mischievous lady, I want to be a cook, to wash the dishes if I feel like it and go diving at weekends. When I grow up I want to be an astronaut, a vagabond, to fly a plane, and to take a lap of honour round the bullring. I want to travel the whole length of life, alone or in company, I want to find out what lies beyond the borders, what China smells like and the Shajara desert, and to play in the park the way I do now, I want to speak, I want to do. I want a world that is nothing like this one, I want a city of glass so I can see the intentions passing behind those smiles that give nothing away, I want a hand on my cheek and a kiss on my knee, I don’t want the kind of surprise that catches you and finishes you off, I don’t want to see the world through sunglasses. I don’t want not to want, because they say everything begins with a no. I want so many things that I lose myself in the wanting. When I grow up, I want to be me; when I grow up, I want to be grown up.

The piece is a show of unconventional form; a work of contrasts that shakes you or moves you, with the aim of leaving no one in the audience indifferent: from stereotypes, abuse, social isolation and sex, we speak about choice and freedom.

The project was made with the advice of friends who, moved by the situation, wanted to take part through what they knew and what they had lived.
