Retazos
There are other “realities” that we, as human beings, are unable to perceive, and others that we do perceive but can barely understand. What about time, for instance? We perceive it as a straight line: past, present and future. But is that really how it is?
What if the film of our life — us, our story, every one of the frames — all happened at the same moment, and our brain invented the idea of time in order to give it a sense, an explanation?
What if it were something else altogether?
Retazos is a theatre production for adult audiences.
For programmers
An intimate, sensory experience in which body, memory, sound and objects turn everyday fragments into a visual dramaturgy. Fifty minutes, for adult audiences, performed in Spanish.
Retazos adapts to the space that hosts it, with three possible configurations: non-conventional venues (from 4 × 4 m plus the audience, with a minimum height of 2.50 m), end-on theatres (5 × 5 m) and full stage houses (8 × 8 m with a seating bank). There is a specific technical rider for each configuration; the final staging is agreed with the venue.
The company travels from Guadalajara (Spain) with its own vehicle: two performers and one technician, and can also travel by plane. Setup takes 4 to 6 hours depending on the venue; teardown, 2. Depending on the format and the room, the company can bring its own lighting and sound equipment. The performance needs darkness.
The stage language is highly visual, with a strong presence of spoken Spanish; the show can be programmed with surtitles.
The best way to decide is to see it live: the upcoming dates are in the performance history alongside.
