An interactive stage installation

A paper city in the middle of the room. A labyrinth city that, by means of video projectors, shadows, sensors, Arduinos, torches, objects, ceramics, LEDs and surround sound, builds a world that changes according to what the visitor does. Their movements, and the places they choose to light up with the torch, open multiple dramaturgical possibilities and create an experience that is unique and cannot be repeated. Ephemeral.

In this city, in this labyrinth, there are places everyone wants to get into and others everyone wants to get out of. There are also places lost in the middle of nowhere, roads leading nowhere. Vanishing shadows, barely glimpsed, and the exodus, the loss, the desperate flight, death — but also life, and the odd smile.

And history, our history, always present and always forgotten, and the future: yes, that is here too, and nothing changes, or almost nothing. As before, yes; as now, too; as tomorrow.

History repeats itself over and over, nothing changes and everything is different. Meanwhile we go on being the same, and we give the present new names, forgetting that in the past — our past — we already named them and swore they would never happen again…
