zoomwooz in Libération

In September 2015 zoomwooz gave five performances at the Festival Mondial des Théâtres de Marionnettes in Charleville-Mézières, its first time in France after two years of international touring. Frédérique Roussel, special correspondent for Libération, devoted a passage of her festival dispatch to it, with a photograph by Laurent Troude for the newspaper.

Under the camera and a play of lamps, the cardboard installations drawn by the visual artist come to life on the big screen. It speaks of a world saturated with violence, urban sprawl and consumerism. The two artists lay claim to a militant art.
