‘Introduction to directing actors’ course. Guadalajara
CEEI Guadalajara. From 19 to 30 May 2025, Monday to Friday, 4pm to 8.30pm. Ten sessions of four and a half hours.
The course comes out of OFF ESCAC, the programme run by Contrapicado Films, and is aimed at those hoping to direct film, at theatre directors wanting to move into cinematic languages, and at performers who want to understand the process of direction from the other side. Three modules: the fundamentals of film directing, the direction of actors, and a final project.
Interactive lectures, practical exercises — improvisation, script readings, building characters, directing and shooting scenes — screening and analysis of film material, and collaborative workshops. Between 16 and 20 participants, from the age of 16. Places fully funded by the Spanish Ministry of Culture, the ICAA and the European Union’s Next Generation funds.
